"Again, Jim Turner takes the stream-of-consciousness about same-sex sexuality and makes it less about the sexual act itself, and instead illustrates that sex is as much, if not more, an intuitive and strategic game of control (or, conversely, the surrender of control) as it is the actual sexual act itself. Interesting that I was initially attracted to this trio (Joe, Sean, and Casey) because they're quite visually attractive human beings. But in the VODs I've seen, I have seen the theatrical dynamic that ALL sexual relationships, in reality, are. Yes, the sex is hot in the VODs with Jim, Sean and Casey, but there is always something deeper going on beyond the sexual act itself. To me, this solo VOD w/ Mr. Turner has a resigned WTF does it all mean lament. I disliked it at first, but then I realized that Turner--and obviously they all enjoy the sexual nature of the scenes, but Mr. Turner, who exudes a powerful and visceral sexual energy that is tempered by a complicated longing for something more substantial, meaningful and purposeful especially in this VOD. There's an almost defeated projection in Turner's words that are very poignant given that it is his creation that he's lamenting. This whole series is so scenes are so different from all the other recordings on F4F in that it's a representation of a time and place in gay America that is at once titillating and sobering--it's real."
